"Divine" reflects the spiritual guidance and grace that shape our lives, while "Hēir" signifies the inheritance of love, wisdom, and purpose from those who came before us.

At the same time, "Hēir" subtly carries "He" in "Hair," symbolizing my daddy — the man whose hands, heart, and vision inspired this entire journey. It represents not only the generational passing down of gifts, but also the deeply personal connection to his life's work as a master stylist and the love he poured into every strand.

Together, Divine Hēir symbolizes a calling to nurture, grow, and carry forward a legacy that is both spiritual and tangible — rooted in family, faith, and the art of hair care.

Our Story

Divine Hēir Essentials was a seed planted long before we realized what God was preparing us for. ✨🦋

I can still remember buying countless ingredients, experimenting with mixtures, and dreaming of one day creating a haircare line — even before my daddy's passing. Looking back now, I see how perfectly God aligned every step, orchestrating a vision far greater than my own.

My daddy, Alfred, was a master stylist in Huntsville for over 40 years, beginning his journey at just 12 years old. His hands carried a divine gift — one that not only shaped hair but touched lives. He wasn't just a stylist; he was a mentor, a healer, and an artist whose chair became a place of transformation.

He did my mother's hair for their wedding day, and throughout their 40 years of marriage, he poured love into every strand — from her hair to mine and my siblings' growing up. Hair wasn't just part of his craft; it was part of our family story.

For me, it was something deeply personal. Hair and music were two things my daddy and I bonded over. Some of our sweetest memories were spent laughing, listening to music, dancing and creating together. He used to tell me, "I could do your hair every day," and before his transition, we made a promise to begin a new journey — growing my hair back out, starting fresh, together. Divine Hēir Essentials is a continuation of that promise, a way to keep our connection alive through every curl, coil, and crown.

Before he transitioned, my daddy shared his dream of creating a product line with an incredible woman — now lovingly known as our Formula Queen. She understood his passion for nurturing hair and spirit. When it came time to bring this vision to life, we chose one of her existing formulas that was already in alignment with what he would have wanted — something pure, natural, and effective. This was the perfect foundation to honor him and begin our journey.

Moving forward, we are excited to create our own exclusive formulas, hand-in-hand with her expertise, to bring even more intentionality and innovation to the line.

This brand is also a partnership between my mother and me, which makes it even more meaningful. She was my daddy's greatest love and the foundation of our family. Now, we walk this path together, combining her strength and wisdom with my creativity and vision. Every product we create is a testament to his love for her, for us, and for the community he served so faithfully for decades.

The Meaning Behind Our Logo

My daddy once said he wanted to be surrounded by butterflies, a symbol of transformation, freedom, and beauty. When he passed, we released butterflies at his memorial to honor his spirit. That moment lives on through our logo — a reminder that his presence continues to guide us, fluttering through every step of this journey.

He also had a deep love for nature. Something else we shared together. With a true green thumb, he nurtured houseplants and gardens with the same care and intention he brought to his work and family. Nature was a place where he and I often connected — sharing quiet moments, laughter, and a deep appreciation for the beauty and growth all around us.

In our logo, the butterfly gently landing on a leaf represents both of these loves — his desire to be surrounded by butterflies and his nurturing his spirit for all things living and growing. The leaf symbolizes the grounding, steady presence of nature, while the butterfly embodies transformation and freedom. Together, they reflect his essence: deeply rooted yet always evolving.

The line of stars represents the last words he ever spoke to me:

"You're a star."

Those words became a promise — to shine brightly, to inspire others, and to keep reaching higher while staying deeply rooted in love and legacy.
